Joining Biddulph u3a

Our membership year runs from 1st September to 31st August but you can join Biddulph u3a at any time of the year.

Follow these steps:

1 Take a look at the list of groups that we organise and decide which ones you would like to join.

Some groups are small or have plenty of space but be warned that other groups might be full or have limited numbers so you will have to check that the group you wish to join has spaces. Most groups, if full, do have a waiting list. You could get in touch with the Group Leader or visit the group to check it out.

2 Join the group.

If you are able to join the group, you will be entitled to two free sessions. After these two sessions, you will have to decide whether the group is a good fit for you. If it is, continue to Step 3.

3 Become a member

You will need to become a member of Biddulph u3a. There are several ways to do this. Your new Group Leader may be able to give you a membership form to complete or you could join through this website.

If you do decide to join the very friendly and progressive Biddulph u3A, annual membership costs £10.00 or £7.00 if you can show that you are already a full member of another u3A and, with a few exceptions, each session will cost you £2.00. If you are joining after April, the membership fee reduces to £5.00 until September.

4 Become a Group Leader

There is one further option: Perhaps you cannot find a group that you want to join. Do you have the skills to become a Group Leader? If you have an idea for a new group that doesn't currently run in our u3a, please get in touch with our Group Co-ordinator or any member of the Committee.
