Badminton is a game played with lightweight rackets, hitting a shuttlecock across a net. It is mostly played by either. four players, "Doubles" or by two, "Singles". Sometimes in lager teams.

It’s a friendly group of around 12 with a fairly even gender balance.  Most members may have played for fun at some point in the past so the group is not overly competitive and newcomers to the sport can be loaned a racket and given a little help to get started and to learn the rules. Almost all games are played as doubles, so it is not too strenuous, and members are free to take a break whenever the need arises. We always try mix up teams as much as possible to ensure that it’s a sociable occasion and to keep the games as even as possible.

New members to the group will receive a warm welcome
