Biddulph u3a’s  very own Christmas Party took place at Biddulph Town Hall. All members of our u3a were invited to the party on Monday, December 15th from 12noon until 2pm. Members were asked to bring some dinner for themselves and maybe something to share with friends. Biddulph u3a provided tea, coffee and mince pies; the bar was open.
Tony Myatt and his wonderful group of Singing for Pleasure vocalists opened the evening’s entertainment. Everyone was able to join in the Christmas sing-a-long as all of the words were displayed on the huge screen. This was a great start to the afternoon and put everyone in a Christmasy mood.
The Town Hall has never seen, or heard, anything like what happened next! 122 Kazoo players played and sang their way through Jingle Bells. What a performance! Evidence of what happened will be sent to the National u3a and we are going to claim a national record for the greatest number of Kazoo players in a u3a group. Well done to everyone who took part.

Next was a great sight to see with so many people up and dancing to the Exiles, a band made up of u3a members, who put on a great set to end the afternoon.

Our wonderful Catering Crew supplied us with tea, coffee and a mince pie, and the brain cells were challenged by the quiz sheets shared on each table.

Some high value prizes were donated by some very supportive local businesses and our own members for the raffle. We raised £181, so well done to everyone

Well done everyone!
