Biddulph u3a decided to have a get together for its members and friends!
Great idea - let’s have a picnic!
An opportunity for us all to get together, to chat, to smile and laugh, to share and support each other. We even ordered a dry day!
The ideal venue was on our own doorstep, Biddulph Grange Country Park. A beautiful local setting, with The Hideaway Cafe selling scrumptious cakes and coffee, Snugbury’s ice cream, also providing disabled access and toilet facilities.
Members and friends brought their own picnics and chairs.
A big thank you must go to the entertainers,
Biddulph u3a’s very own talented Acoustic Guitar Group led by David Boothroyd. Their repertoire included Eight Days a Week, Under the Boardwalk and, of course, culminated with Sweet Caroline. As you can imagine, we had lots of audience participation and arm waving. A good time was had by all, so this may have been the first of many!
