Biddulph u3a’s First Free Coffee Morning

Biddulph u3a held its inaugural Coffee Morning on Wednesday, 7th October at Biddulph Town Hall. The event just ran from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, and opened its doors to both long-standing members and lots of new faces from the local area. It was very pleasing to see so many people and meet several prospective new members.

The Coffee Morning was a completely free event with everyone being welcome.

The atmosphere in the hall was lovely, as guests chatted over their complimentary tea, coffee, and biscuits.

During the Coffee Morning people could watch a slideshow of Biddulph u3a’s events during the last year, on the massive screen in Biddulph Town Hall.

The launch marks a new milestone for Biddulph u3a which now hopes that, following the success of this one, to establish the Coffee Mornings as a regular monthly event on its calendar, for those people who are no longer looking for full time work.

The next scheduled Coffee Morning will be Wednesday, 2nd December, as, unfortunately, Biddulph Town Hall had no suitable available dates during November.

A big thank you to everyone who attended, to our ‘tea ladies’ who were wonderful as always, for providing the endless supply of tea and coffee, the accommodating staff of Biddulph Town Hall and Garside’s Funeral Services for printing all of the posters to advertise this  event, free of charge.
