Straw hats and ice creams!

The sun shone, birds sang and the leaves on the trees were just fluttering in the gentle breeze, at the beautiful entrance to Biddulph Grange Country Park. This was the picturesque venue for Biddulph u3a’s second Picnic in the Park. 

Around 80 people, lots had donned their straw hats, gathered together to enjoy the sounds of and join in with the talented Acoustic Guitar Group’s renditions.  These  included Whiskey in the Jar, Bye Bye Love and Country Roads. 

It was great to see so many smiling faces enjoying time with their friends. 

Picnics were munched and some people ventured off to the nearby Hide Away Cafe for a cuppa or a delicious ice cream.
