Spring has sprung with lighter evenings, lots of birdsong, blue carpets of bluebells appearing and Biddulph u3a has sprung into action with its busy Summer Term plans.
After a great year last year Biddulph u3a sprung into action in 2026! A similar program of events for all of its members, giving them chance to meet, socialise and enjoy time with other members of our u3a, are in their planning stages.
Our membership is growing, our Keep Fit now has 70 members and Pickleball now has 2 groups .
Biddulph u3a has over 50 interest groups and these would not be possible without our wonderful Group Leaders who give up their time to organise our wide variety of activities.
We are always on the lookout for new interest groups, so if you are sitting at home reading this and thinking, I could do a ………. group. It could be Knit and Natter, a Motorcycle Group, Hockey, Local History, Wildlife, Using a Mobile Phone, Darts, Beer Tasting, Chair Yoga, Table Football; the list is endless. So if you have an interest that you think you would like to share with others then please call our Group Coordinator, Bill, on 07946479375.
Biddulph u3a is very fortunate to have its own base, Lund House, the old Doctors’ Surgery, so we have a variety of sizes of rooms to accommodate your needs. Groups here can run at any time of the day, even in the evenings and weekends.
The u3a has NO AGE LIMIT you just have to be no longer looking for full time work!

Acoustic Unplugged
Tuesday 19th May
6.30pm - 8.00pm
An evening with our Acoustic Guitar group in Lund House, when you will be able to join in with a variety of songs from Pop to Rock and Folk to Blues. Bring along your choice of beverage; tea and coffee will be available and relax for an hour or so, with some good friends and good music.
Party In the Park
Date to be confirmed - Probably in the first week of June so watch this space. Last year was very successful so we are going to have another go!
This free event welcomes non-members.
Singing for Pleasure Summer Concert
Thursday 25th June in the Victoria Centre starting at 7.30pm This is always a lovely evening spent with Tony Myatt and his wonderful singers, so make sure you all get your tickets in good time from the Town Hall or a member of the group.
Biddulph u3a Showcase Wednesday 15th July 10am to 1pm. Last year was one of our best years in the Town Hall. We had lots of visitors, and many of groups gained new members. Let's make it a good one for 2026!
Everyone is welcome so pop in and not only see the wonderful work some of our very talented groups produce but also COME IN AND HAVE A GO!
Summer Extravaganza and AGM Monday 27th July starting at 5.15pm until 8.30pm in Biddulph Town Hall.
Our night to come together and celebrate all the things we have achieved and enjoyed since our last AGM. There will be a variety of things to enjoy and a chance to sing and dance with friends old and new.
Singing for Pleasure Christmas Concert
Thursday 10th December in the Victoria Centre. Further details to follow as we get closer to the event but always a great evening.
Biddulph u3a Christmas Party Wednesday 16th December at 12.30pm - 4pm. A memorable event in 2025 and something similar is being planned for this year. More details will follow in the Autumn term.
